Taking Action to Inspire Success

I recently delivered the keynote address at the 2008 Women in Leadership Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan – my MBA alma mater, http://www.umich.edu/ What an excellent experience! The conference convened for women Executive MBA and MBA students, as well as other women in business. The interactive program engaged participants in workshops, a case competition and other activities designed to impart immediate skills usable in the workplace.

My keynote speech focused on practical ways business people could develop their talents and skills as managers and leaders while propelling their confidence and careers. I gave them a “sneak peak” of my new lecture series, called Bulletproof Your SuccessTM. I shared the critical “8 Competency Clusters” of success and provided specific tools attendees could use everyday to increase their business effectiveness. It was a complete joy to pass along my knowledge to the audience, who were hungry for information. If you want to learn about the Bulletproof Your Success competency clusters and receive advanced notification of registration for the inaugural lecture series starting in February 2009, let me know.

MAH in the News: OC METRO BUSINESS magazine

OC METRO BUSINESS magazine featured Matters At Hand founder and “What You Need to Know Kit” creator Camille Jayne in its June 19 cover story titled, “Business Is Booming.”

Jayne talks about the role NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) Orange County plays in helping entrepreneurs flourish.

“It takes hard work and discipline to run your own business,” says Camille Jayne, a former president of that group. “But more and more, women are finding it a satisfying alternative to the corporate world.”

Volume V, March 2008 – Keys to Wealth Management

Do You Have Your Act Together?

Last month I was in a doubles tennis match and two of my buddies mentioned they enjoyed reading this column but many of the answers were still “over their heads”. Mind you, one of them is a family law attorney, and the other is a Regional President of a large corporation. They felt what they really needed was a simple, easy to understand, lay person’s “education” on the basics.

Coincidentally, many advisors in our network have asked if we could “bottle” what we do for our clients into a really easy to read/easy to use resource guide and organization product. A tool to help people get started so they are better informed, less stressed and feel more in control about their wealth management situation. Great idea thank you! Help people to know what they need.

Do You Have Your Act Together?TM

Who of us didn’t install a house alarm until after burglars ran off with the plasma TV? Or during the recent fires, knew if the replacement value of our house was sufficient?
